Objectives

The KNOV has laid down the following objectives in article 2 of its bylaws:

"Promoting properly functioning obstetric care in the Netherlands, promoting the social-economic, professional and other interests of obstetricians, developing professional substance and improving the expertise of obstetricians as well as the quality of obstetric care by obstetricians."

The KNOV converts these words into actions. The KNOV:

• promotes the interests of the members in its negotiations with many organisations
• promotes professionalization and quality policy
• offers products and services individual members can take advantage of
